June 2011 – 2011 Wage Case Decision
On 3 June 2011 Fair Work Australia handed down its wage case decision for this year. It decided to award an increase of 3.4% for all award employees and to increase the national minimum wage to $15.51 per hour. It also confirmed an expected increase in casual loading to 22 per cent. These changes took effect on 1 July 2011.
