On 1 July 2013 all award rates have increased as a consequence of the National Wage decision made in June 2013.  As the transitional wage rate system continues to apply until July 2014, all employers with award employees need to ensure that they are complying with the relevant transitional wage rate.  Information about the applicable transitional wage rates can be obtained from the Fair Work Ombudsman’s website – www.fairwork.gov.au
